Cinderfall Dead Zone: FPS mechanics in a zombie-infested world

Cinderfall Dead Zone (formerly Dead Zone Project) is a game created in just one week during a horror game jam in 2023. Its initial focus was to experiment with and refine first-person shooter (FPS) mechanics within a dark and unsettling atmosphere.

Built with Unreal Engine 5.3, the prototype already delivers a solid foundation: immersive graphics, smooth player movement, and a post-apocalyptic setting filled with relentless zombies. Players must hone their reflexes, aim, and strategy to survive the undead menace.

Key Features

  • Immersive FPS gameplay: realistic graphics, tense atmosphere, and constant danger.
  • Combat-focused action: fast-paced battles against zombie hordes emphasizing aim and mobility.
  • Exploration and strategy: scavenging for resources, planning moves, and finding safe shelters.

The project originally started as a YouTube tutorial series (in Italian). 👉 Playlist here:
