There comes a moment, in a creator’s journey, when you feel the need to split, to take another name. Not to hide, but to breathe differently. I began signing as “Lythande” when I understood that certain stories needed a rawer, freer, more intimate space. A space where writing was not constrained by a schedule or a publication goal.
Under “Lythande,” I can write without obligation of result. I can code a game idea that may never see the light of day, sketch a story, scribble a cover, or edit an imperfect video, simply to see what it triggers. It is a testing ground where error has its place, where going back is not a defeat but an integral part of the process.
Itamde: merging passions
This need for a creative alter ego fits within a larger framework: Itamde. Itamde is not just a studio, nor a brand. It is a fusion of all my passions and my journey:
- programming and the web, where I learned to structure and build,
- video games, where playful experimentation transforms into interactive worlds,
- books and writing, where stories come to life,
- photography and video, where the gaze is captured and shared differently.
Itamde was born from the need to bring these disciplines together into a single entity. Where Develop4fun had marked a first step, Itamde becomes its natural evolution: more open, more cross-disciplinary, capable of moving from a line of code to a page of a novel, from a macro photograph to a playable demo.
“Lythande,” in this context, is the parallel space. The one where creation can show itself in its fragile phase, unpolished, before being integrated into the more structured framework of Itamde.
Behind the stories
The first attempt at this approach was published on Ko-fi: Behind the Stories – Itamde Studio Special #1. It is not a finalized work, nor a complete story, but a logbook. You will find:
- an unpublished scene from an ongoing science fiction project (title still confidential),
- notes, thoughts, pieces of narration,
- a first glimpse of the new Itamde site, which will soon replace Develop4fun.

Creating without a showcase
Writing this way, in a space where you are not required to publish, allows you to rediscover a form of authenticity. It is no longer about producing to meet an expectation, but about returning to the source: the desire.
These moments of writing, coding, or visual creation may be invisible, but they often matter more than the final product. They are the place where true ideas are born.
And that is also what Itamde embodies: a place where video games, writing, programming, photography, and video are not separate, but feed each other. A space where stories are written in a thousand ways.
