The popular instant messaging application WhatsApp keeps evolving, and the changes it brings to the user experience are significant. Its latest update introduces features that make sharing media a good deal more practical.
It is now possible to send an image or a video clip from apps such as Box, Dropbox and Google Drive, by tapping the "Choose from another app" option and then the "Other" button.
The new version of WhatsApp also lets you zoom into a video while it is playing, and it adds fresh colours for customising the background of your conversations.
1. Easier sharing with third-party apps: WhatsApp now makes it simple to share media directly from certain third-party applications. If you use platforms such as Box, Dropbox or Google Drive, you can send images or videos straight from those apps to your WhatsApp contacts. All you need to do is choose the "Choose from another app" option and then select "Other".
2. Zoom during video playback: a long-awaited feature has arrived with this update. Users can now zoom into a video while it is playing, which gives far better control over the multimedia content being shared.
3. Customising conversations: WhatsApp now allows its users to personalise their conversations further. With the new background colours, you can give every chat a touch of your own.
WhatsApp continues to work on its features, offering users an instant messaging experience that is both rich and versatile.
