Silo 7 is an arcade puzzle game for Windows, designed and published by Itamde. You play a scavenger trapped in a decommissioned nuclear silo whose self-destruct sequence has just started: dig, collect fuel cells and reach the escape hatch before the countdown ends.
About the project
The project began during the GMTK Game Jam 2026, on the theme "Count down", and grew into a full game of forty hand-built sectors, with the Recycler, three progression gates and an ending sequence. The rules draw on Boulder Dash: you dig through dirt, push CRT monitors sideways and stay clear of anything that falls.

Game details
Our role: code, game design, level design, audio integration and publishing. The game is built in Lua with LÖVE 2D and is available in English, Italian and French. A free demo covers the first ten sectors, and the full game is pay-what-you-want from €3.99 on itch.io. The game also has its page on Steam.

The story of how it was made is told in the article Silo 7: behind the scenes of an arcade game born in a game jam. If you want to learn how to build a game of the same kind, our course Apprenez à créer vos propres jeux 2D avec Lua et LÖVE 2D (in French) starts from zero.
