Oradourโ€™s Mystery is a narrative-driven adventure game we developed, set in a historically inspired setting. We combined exploration, puzzle-solving, and storytelling to create an atmospheric experience that draws players into a compelling mystery while paying respect to historical events and locations.

Narrative and Setting

We built the game around a mystery narrative that unfolds as players explore historically inspired environments. Our storytelling approach combines environmental storytelling with dialogue and document discovery, allowing players to piece together the mystery at their own pace. We carefully balanced historical sensitivity with engaging game design to create a respectful yet captivating experience.

Puzzle Design

We designed interconnected puzzles that integrate organically with the narrative, requiring players to observe their surroundings carefully and connect clues from different locations. Our puzzle difficulty progression ensures accessibility while rewarding careful exploration. Each puzzle we created advances the story, maintaining narrative momentum throughout the experience.

Atmosphere and Art Direction

We crafted a somber, atmospheric visual style that reflects the historical weight of the setting. Our lighting design, color palette, and ambient sound work together to create an immersive environment. We paid particular attention to environmental detail, ensuring that every location feels authentic and contributes to the overall mood and storytelling of the game.
